President’s Greeting

Welcome to the website of the West Georgia (GA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated.

Founded on November 9, 1946, by visionaries Margaret Rosell Hawkins and Sarah Strickland, The Links, Incorporated was built on a mission of service—engaging in educational, civic, and intercultural initiatives that strengthen communities. For nearly 80 years, our organization has grown to more than 16,000 members—distinguished achievers, opinion leaders, and decision-makers—who continue to make a lasting impact across the United States and abroad.

Our strategic platform of service is anchored in five program facets: Services to Youth, The Arts, National Trends and Services, International Trends and Services, and Health and Human Services.

Here in West Georgia, we proudly serve Carroll, Coweta, Douglas, and Paulding Counties, where our work reflects the needs and spirit of our community. Our impact includes:

• Supporting our veterans with meaningful outreach.

• Partnering with elementary schools to strengthen reading initiatives.

• Collaborating with the SHARE House in defense against the trauma of domestic violence.

• Serving our seniors with quarterly visits to local senior centers.

• Advocating for civic engagement through annual voter registration drives.

• Promoting healthy living through community workshops and health fairs.

The women of the West Georgia (GA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated are deeply committed to service and leadership. Together, we strive to uplift, inspire, and empower the communities we call home.
